Effective October 5, 2026Blinders · tryblinders.com

This policy describes how the Blinders ADHD Chrome focus extension handles information while helping you keep one priority in view. It describes the extension’s behavior; Blinders is not an on-device AI model.

01 / At a glance

A small, specific purpose.

Blinders is an ADHD Chrome focus extension. Its single purpose is to support focus sessions by comparing relevant feed post content with the one priority for a session and showing alignment scoring. It offers visual context rather than blocking pages or locking you out.

Todoist is an optional integration for choosing a priority. You can use Blinders without connecting Todoist.

02 / What the extension handles

Only what the session needs.

  • Your priority. The task you enter or choose is used as the reference for the focus session.
  • Relevant feed post content. Content from supported feeds is sent for alignment with that priority. Supported sites are YouTube, X/Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Session results and settings. These support the focus purpose, including the selected display mode and the session’s alignment results.
  • An optional Todoist connection. If you choose to enable Todoist, the extension can use the service to help you pick a priority.

03 / API keys & services

Your key stays in local extension storage.

Blinders uses TypeSafe (Jev) for scoring. To use TypeSafe, you bring your own API key and paste it into the extension’s Options. The key is stored only in chrome.storage.local on your device; it is not stored in Chrome sync. Blinders has no backend for keys, and keys are never sent to Blinders servers.

The key is used to authenticate TypeSafe calls. It therefore accompanies those authentication requests to TypeSafe; it does not remain solely on your device during a request. A priority and relevant feed post content are sent to TypeSafe so it can return an alignment result.

Extension remote API calls go only to TypeSafe and, if you enable it, optionally to Todoist. Todoist is not required to use Blinders. TypeSafe and Todoist handle information under their own policies and terms. Review those policies before using either service.

API access and any associated costs or terms are controlled by TypeSafe. Check directly with TypeSafe for its current details.

04 / How information is used

Focus, not something else.

Priorities, relevant post content, scoring results, session information, and settings are used only for Blinders’ focus purpose: comparing feed content with your chosen priority and presenting gentle alignment context during a session. Blinders does not sell personal data.

When information is sent to TypeSafe or optionally to Todoist, its handling by that service is subject to the service’s own policies. This policy does not make claims about those services’ storage or retention practices.

05 / Your choices & removal

You choose what to connect.

  • You can use a manually entered priority without enabling Todoist. The optional integration is not required.
  • To remove or update your TypeSafe key, use the extension’s Options. To stop using Todoist, disable or disconnect that optional service in the extension if enabled.
  • Removing the Blinders Chrome extension clears its local extension data from Chrome. This does not remove information a provider may hold; provider-held information is handled under that provider’s policies.

06 / This website

The site is for information.

This website does not ask you to enter an API key or secret. It does not make AI demo requests. The four-mode feed presentation on the home page is illustrative only: its scores are examples and it does not run AI scoring.

07 / Policy changes

If this changes, we’ll say so.

This policy may be updated as Blinders changes. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
